Description/History:The card is square with the words "For my valentine" on the upper right corner. It has a blue border with a gold background. The illustration is a dutch boy and girl with a windmill and two hearts with an arrow through it. On the inside is a black and white flower illustration and the printed verse "Dutch kiddies look cute, but very queer, So I prefer those over here, For they are just as sweet - and fine, As any foreign Valentine". On the back is handwritten " To Miss Mary Johnson, From Helen Moore". Printed on the back is Carrington Co, Chicago, ILL with a tree logo with a "A" in the middle. On the bottom is printed 'Made in USA" and 'H5009'. This card was given to Mary Ruth Johnson McShane (1909-2001) of Mt.Vernon, MO in grade school.
